Cannot remove oven pan

According to the manual the oven pan lifts out of the oven by pulling forward and lifting up. I have worked on this for hours and cannot remove the pan. I'm trying to replace the ignighter.

cannot remove oven pan to replace igniter. I can lift the front up, and then the back, but it will not slide out, and I can't remove the oven rack guides to give it more room to lift.

We had this problem a few years ago. It is a design defect, and it was fixed under warantee. The welds broke on the piece that was attached to the bottom of the pan.

I have a GLEF379DQA glass to stove and I want to know how to lift the top to replace the burner.

1) Unplug unit 2) Remove back plate covering controls on back of oven 3) Notice 2 brackets, 1 on each end holding 2 screws-remove the screws 4) On front remove 3 screws underneath front ledge directly above where oven door closes 5) lift top up about an inch, and pull forward towards front of oven 6) You can now lift it to service - beware wires are still connected - dont pull too far forward and up

How to replace maintop (cooktop) frigidaire oven FGFG79GBA

To remove the main top first remove the grates,
burner caps and burners. Using a ¼” socket
wrench or nut driver remove the mounting
screws at each burner orifice assembly.

Insert a putty knife or similar tool between the
main top and manifold panel near the outside
of the front corner. Push the putty knife toward
the rear to release the maintop mounting clip.
Repeat for both sides.

When the mounting clips are released the front
edge of the cooktop can be lifted. Make sure
that the orifice assembly does not bind in the
cooktop when raising the top to remove it from
the range.

Lift the front of the cooktop and pull forward to
disengage the back edge from the rear hinge
bracket. The cooktop can now be replaced by
reversing the previous steps.

I have an old 1970's hotpoint oven. I'm not sure how to change the burner pans on the stove.

Many of these units are removable by lifting up the burner itself and wiggling the pan out. There may be a screw holding the burner at the pivot point where you raise it. Some clip in. I doubt you'll do any damage lifting the burner out to make the change. The pans are not secured in any way that I know of.

Pull the oven out and see if you can get to the pans from behind.  May have to lift up on the back of the oven to get out fallen pans.

Lifting the top of the Maytag MER5770AAW

eliasan, to remove the glass top you need to open the oven door, on the body frame where the top of the door fits under, there will be 2 quarter inch screws on each corner securing the top to the body. Remove these 2 screws. Grab the top with both hands and pull forward. Disconnect the quick connect fittings in the back for the burners and the top will lift off now. Make sure to kill the power before attempting this. Catriver..post back
