I got SHOCKED when trying to power up my 37in. Insiginia. Now the damn thing wont turn on. Power up light on front panel ramps up and gets bright like its going to turn on and at the same time there is a high pitched sound somewhere in the tv. that cycles with the light. As the pwr. light starts to light the high picthed sound starts. As soon as the light is bright on the front panel and the high pitched sound is at its peak, the light goes out the sound goes away, and the whole process starts over again. TV is one year five months old. Over $800.00 dollars for this? Not including tax! Contacted Insigina Corporate and they dont want to reconize this problem. I would think any tv should last more than a little over year. Not to mention after seeing all of the problems others have with this product. Insigina CORP. Does not stand behind there product after one year. If someone with a pace maker owned this TV they probably would have gotten a shock bad enough to stop there heart. I think it may only be a matter of time before Insignia Corp. will be involved in a CIVIL LAW SUIT. Hope someone out there can help me with a way to resolve this problem. Thanks....

I have a 55 Insignia tv it turned it self off and want come back on.i check the power and it want work either.

Won't not want.
Hi James,
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
If your TV, flatscreen, or monitor is more than 5 years old it is more like to have suffered a
component failure.
Take it to a repair shop.

Power surge to Ns 24E200NA14 Insignia tv. Has power, backlight, sound but no picture

Yes it received a massive surge from the transfer. You would need to replace your Insignia or try taking it to a Bestbuy which is a Bestbuy brand to have them fix the unit. Also try putting it on a really good surge protector as well.

If my TV acts like it is locked but is not then what is wrong with it?

When an Insignia TV is locked, it keeps you from watching all of your channels by only displaying a black screen. Insignia TVs are locked from a single button command on the remote control, so it is easy for you to lock the TV by accident. Since Insignia TVs can be locked so easily, it's important to know how to undo this command and unlock the TV yourself. So, unlock your Insignia TV with the push of a button and once again enjoy watching your favorite programs.
• Find the lock button on the Insignia remote control. The lock button is located on the third column from the left on the second row from the top of the remote.

•Stand within operating range of the Insignia TV, then aim the remote at the TV's receiver and press the "Lock" button on the remote control.

• Aim the remote at the TV and press the channel buttons to make sure the TV is unlocked. When the TV is locked, it shows a black screen and does not allow you to view anything else. If the screen remains black, press the "Lock" button again. If this doesn't work, change the batteries in the remote and start over at step .

I have a Insignia NSL37Q10A, when you turn it on it display's

Change input device to some other like a DVD player. Look for loose contacts in RC jack, cable, sockets. Look for any jammed buttons on TV or on remote.

Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry.
If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.

My tv starts on at least the green button goes on, but we don't see nothing on the screen

Insignia are a low-end Best Buy brand, and as such their reliability is poor.

If you're plugged in, the inputs are set correctly and the power comes on on the TV but you receive no picture, there is an issue with the TV itself.

Insignia offers a 2-year warranty, but you must have the original box and must be willing to pay for shipping. If you lack the original box or your purchase was longer than 30 days ago and you didn't purchase the extended warranty from Best Buy, you're most likely going to need a new TV, as they cost more to repair than they're worth.

Insignia lcd 37''powering off and right back on by itself!

Hi Ed,
Since the TV is less then a year old and still under manufacturers warranty, I would suggest to take back to the vendor to get it fix because this LCD behavior is not going to get any better.
The failure on this TV is related to a power supply in most cases if the TV is turning OFF by itself or needs to be unplug to let cooldown and it works afterward.

Insignia tv will not turn on, {power up}

That is usually a faulty power adapter.

Sometimes a faulty inverter board can do the same, but in that case you often get sound with no picture for a while before the the inverter comes up.

In your case it is probably a blown capacitor on power supply board.
