Suds Suds Suds

I keep getting the Suds glashing. There are not extra suds. it is doing it repeatedly and not using the proper rinse cycle with the fabric softener. I have redone my drain tube, reweighed the loads, made sure the drain tube is clear, heck I even dumped draino down the washer's drain. This is really starting to stress me out! HELP!

The SUDS fault indicator is caused by using too much detergent, or the wrong type of detergent. The Kenmore Elite front loaders were designed to use HE type detergent only. When the washers first came out, manufacturers originally made the claim that you could use regular detergent if you used less of it. The manufacturers later retracted that claim because there were a lot of problems with over-sudsing. If you are not using HE detergent, you need to be. In the mean time run your machine with no load with hot water to clear the drum and drain lines of any soap residue. You may have to do this a couple of times to clear the problem. I hope this helps.

We have a Kenmore 796.40272900 washer that intermittently fills/overflows the detergent tray and puts suds out the back of the machine. How does the machine get the signal to stop the rinse cycle?

The washer doesn’t “sense” the suds until all the suds are gone. Instead it rinses by program or a timer. It will rinse the same way no matter how much detergent you put in. When you choose 2nd rinse it will do the same thing twice. There is no sensor just for rinsing suds out.

What does it mean if the washer is not draining and has a flashing f where the time shows?

I have the manual for this machine. Under "Code 21" it says the following:
"F21" (Drain Problem) Select STOP twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check the following: Is the drain hose kinked? Is the drain hose frozen? Is the drain hose clogged? Is the drain hose more than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor? Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call for service.
For "SUDS" code, the following:
"SUD" (Suds Routine) When excessive suds are detected, a suds routine automatically starts. This routine removes extra suds and assures proper rinsing of your garments. "SUD" is displayed during rinsing to inform you that Suds Routine was activated. Use only HE (High Efficiency) detergents.
Here is some more information that may help you as well:
"F" Codes other than F20, F21 and F22 Select STOP twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN & SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer. Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call for service.

I have an HE 5T Steam Front Loading Automatic Washer. It is showing Sud indication, nothing seems like happening and after few minutes it will show F35. What does it mean?

Hello again,
I found your manual. If you like to get it, go HERE. This is what it says about "SUDS" action:
"SUD" (Suds Routine) When excessive suds are detected, a suds routine automatically starts. This routine removes extra suds and assures proper rinsing of your garments. "SUD" is displayed during rinsing to inform you that Suds Routine was activated. Use only HE (High Efficiency) detergents.
Near the bottom of the troubleshooting page, it gives this for errors:
"F" Codes other than F20, F21 and F22 Select STOP twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN & SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer. Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call for service.
It doesn't specifically state what "F35" is, so I can only suggest these steps, and see if this solves your problem. If it doesn't I would be inclined to believe that there is a problem with a part, which would probably be serviceable by a tech from Sears or their partner service company.
Hope this clears it up for you.

Water will not spin out. Code says 5d

The troubleshooting page in the owner's manual says: 5d "Sd" Suds Detected - Did you use regular detergent? Regular or hand-washing detergents are not recommended for this washer. Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Did you add too much detergent? Always measure detergent. Follow detergent manufacturer's directions. If excessive suds are detected, the washer will display this code while running a suds reduction correction routine at the end of the wash cycle. The susds reduction routine removes extra suds and asures proper rinsing of your garments. If te code remains and the wash cycle dial is flashing after the recovery routine has stopped, re-select your desired cycle using cold water. Press start. Do not add detergent.

Extra suds due to liquid soap in the machine overflowing. How do I drain it?

This is strange. Are you using an electric dishwasher liquid soap, OR are you using a dish soap that you manually use to wash dishes?
REGULAR dish soap liquid that is not specifically made for dishwashers creates a foamy suds with lots of bubbles that will in fact bubble out of your dishwasher. on the other hand. Electric Dishwasher detergent will NOT create foamy suds with lots of bubbles.
Switch your soap. The next cycle any residue suds or soap will be gone as long as you use the proper liquid detergent. I would also recommend using a rinse agent which further helps break down and rinse off residue.

SD error code won't go away

Manual says -

"Sd" (Suds Detected)
Did you use regular detergent?
Regular or hand-washing detergents are not recommended
for this washer. Use only High Efficiency ("HE") detergent.
Did you add too much detergent?
Always measure detergent. Follow detergent manufacturer's
directions.
If excessive suds are detected, the washer will display this
code while running a suds reduction correction routine at the
end of the wash cycle. The suds reduction routine removes
extra suds and assures proper rinsing of your garments. If the
code remains and the wash cycle dial is flashing after the
recovery routine has stopped, re-select your desired cycle
using cold water. Press START. Do not add detergent.

Let me know if this helps, or you would like more information/help.

F 02 ERROR

Try cycling the washer a few times without a very small load of clothes and no detergent. I assume that you are and have beenm using only HE type detergent and I suggest you try using about 1/2 to 1/3 the amount called for until your system is purged of any and all remaining detergent in the lines. Here are the manufacturers reccommendations to address your problem..

“SUD” (Suds Routine)
When excessive suds are detected, a suds routine
automatically starts. This routine removes extra suds and
assures proper rinsing of your garments. “SUD” is displayed
during rinsing and at the end of the cycle to inform you that
Suds Routine was activated. Use only HE (High Efficiency)
detergents.

Hope this helps you..

“F02” (Drain Problem)
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug
washer or disconnect power.
Check the following:
Is the drain hose kinked?
Is the drain hose frozen?
Is the drain hose clogged?
Is the drain hose more than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor?
