Question about Computers & Internet
My acer keeps telling me that I do not have a webcam installed (clearly built in) and so cannot chat to friends on MSN or Skype. It is an intermittant problem that occurs all too often. Some days it will work, others I have the above problem.
Go into the device manager, and make sure there are np problems. Start, settings, control panel, system, open device manager, locate the web cam and look at the bottom, make sure it is working, "it will tell you", make sure it has the most recent driver etc. exit out of everything and go to start programs again, choose your webcam program and see if it needs a firmware upgrade. it should show u when u look at the program, and if noothing seems wrong, then just re-install the webcam. peace, Gym
