i put ohm meter on fuse and got a reading numbers go up and down and do not stop on any specific reading. i turned dryer on and checked voltage where cord plugs in. i have power at the black and red wire put no power at the white middle wire. not sure if fuse is bad

i have continuity at the thermal fuse, themostats and element. i have 220 volt coming into dryer at cord. i do not have power coming out of the dryer timer knob. does the timer turn on the heating element. if so could this be bad. checked all wiring nothing appears burned or fried.

Have you check all the wiring for burned or fried wires? check the terminal block. i need you to check for continuity on the fuse and wires with your ohm meter.

yes this is bad, the timer does affect the heaters, but their are all so in line fuse/resistors right near the timer. how comfortable are you at taking the time out and opening it up? your problem could be their. take a picture of the wires going to the timer or label them. two screws and the time comes apart. look for burnt or melted contacted points. kelly if not then call a pro.

My Kenmore HE4 electric dryer runs for 2 minutes and stops

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
The timer could be the problem. To check this, turn the timer to a timed cycle say 30 minutes or so then time it. If in 30 minutes the timer hasn't moved and the dryer is still on, the timer is faulty replac it. If in 30 minutes the dryer is off, the heating element is your problem

Heating Element
This is the most likely cause for some dryers timer not advancing. Some dryers have two heating elements and if one goes out the timer will not advance if you use it on an automatic cycle but you will still feel heat inside the tub. Replace it

KENMORE DRYER JUST STOPPED HEATING UP WHAT CAN I DO TO REPAIR IT?

Replace the Heating Element. The heating element is usually located behind a panel on the back. To replace you will need to remove the back cover of the dryer, then locate the heating element. The heating element is screwed into place and is easy to unscrew and replace. Be sure to have the dryer unplugged while doing this.

Heating element gone in our kenmore dryer

Hi, Without having a model # so I can see the exact dry style you have, This is how to get to the most popular style element. UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the element on the right hand side. Plug the dryer back in and test to see if there is 240V going to the element posts. If there is voltage, but no heat, change the element. If it does not, you need to test the thermostats for continuity. If any of the thermostats are open, replace it. I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if this help or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic
