I updated my n95 and now my card is locked and i never set a password on it how do i unlock it or get the default password the memroy card has alot of important information on it which i need plz can anyon e help

just try this

1) Downlaod the nokia Sowtware Updater and PC Suite
2) connect your phone useing cable
3) Update your software using nokia Software updater


it will reset all settings and passwords to defaults

you can get your MMC password through FExplorer.
U just do this step.

• Firstly, you need to install FExplorer, a free file manager that allows us to browser through S60 file system.
• Next, launch FExplorer and then browser to c:\system folder. There is a file, calledmmcstore.
• Rename the file to mmcstore.txt and then open it. Your password must be several characters at the end of the file.

Thats an issue with the phone, it does it and nokia apparently takes responsability.

try this:

1. "first pdate ur phone using nokia software updater..so everything in ur phone will be new
2. then after updating...put the memory card in...it will ask for passowrd..ignore it
3. then go to memory format it
4. after formating...u can see there is a set passoword...set is to 12345...after setting there will be a new password
5. then after thats done
6. remove the password with 12345...then everything will be done

The default should be 12345 for the phone security code.

First of all the default password for the phones are 1122, secondly about the sim restarting problems, u know its all about network, chinese mobile have put there own configurations in these mobiles, therefore before using your phone, start it without sim and reset factory default.. delete all network configurations and then put your sim and start your phone.. if the problem continues then try putting your sim in another mobile phone and reset factory default for the other phone.. then put the sim again in the nokia or nokLa.. When you have the unlocking codes for your N95
1. turn phone off
2.take the battery off and the sim card out.
3. putt battery back in
4. switch phone on
5. enter unlock code using non predictive text.
