Black streaks (in direction of paper travel)... They come & go and vary in length and thickness. One or two always seem to show up in the same place though. Looks like what I've seen on other machines that use organic drums and have dirty charge wires or a malfunctioning grid/scorotron. I've cleaned and then replaced the corona unit in the past but black streaks still come back in the short term. I also cleaned the contacts on the back end of the drum modual. Oh! This is not a fuser roller issue.

- Nope! That's Not It!!! Thanks a whole bunch though swan34. I replaced it two times already and no change. I'm sorry I didn't think to mention that in my 1st post but, this issue has me soo upset I can't think straight some times... What To Do??... What To Do??? Sniff...
I did have a bit of a brainstorm this morning... I went 'oldschool' on the thing (guess that means I engaged my brain) and started pondering "corona current"/"grid voltage" control... Maybe charge is just too low! Any body got a clue re adjustability. Back in my day (I got started when machines still used coated paper...) corona wire position and/or charge current was adjustable. Of course in those pre-laser exposure systems, low charge rendered as white streaks where in these laser driven puppies low charge looks like black streaks, yes? I'm gonna go try and find a svc mnl for this beast.
Dear sir; As your description, seem you have drum cleaning blade problem ,why don't give a try to replace it,let me know if you need more help. good luck.
HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY !!!
This model is NOTORIOUS for not being able to handle the amount of toner in the cleaning unit due to it's location (over the drum...wtf!). When you start seeing those lines...not real sharp but rather a "burn" looking line...it's usually time to pull the drum out and clean out the cleaner unit. Make sure the mylar strip under the cleaning blade is not folded or bent back. Just run your finger over the mylar strip several times at the base where it is mounted, and the heat from the friction will tend to straighten it back out again!

I have a faded vertical section when I print on my Workio DP1810 Copier. I have changed the toner so it is not that. I wonder if anyone would know the cause?
