I suggest not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Download the software by clicking on this link to the Lexmark website for the available Lexmark Z517 drivers: http://bit.ly/ciwMbO. Click on the Microsoft or Macintosh dropdown found below the page to choose the version of your computer's operating system. Download, install and follow the instructions on the software. none of which is essential to run the printer because alternatives abound.
The driver should exist in the library in your operating system- all other programs are to be had on the Internet for download or magazine cover discs.
