Can't install windows on FSB 800 motherboard its showing no hard disk installed in your computer but showing in the bios kindly help

If you are installing XP on a SATA hard drive then -

The problem is that XP installation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on a disk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then, XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP. The FIX. Go into the BIOS and disable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is a IDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows has been installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver), then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.

Video loss

Have you checked your BIOS settings in regards to Graphic/AGP controls? If it is NOT set on auto (which will read a AGP or PCI graphics card automatically over the on board) it will always look to the onboard card or known PCI Graphics card for the video output. Check those settings and reboot. Remember to save the bios config prior to changing anything.

You haven't brought up a blue screen error so we must assume you installed the drivers properly. The BIOS control of the AGP and graphics is most likely the problem.

Ethernet LAN not detect

Hello download the lan driver from here:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/865PE-Neo2-P-Platinum-Edition.html#/?div=Driver&os=XP%2032

Try to renew the driver and install the new one.

And check your bios settings for the lan.

Good luck

Motherboard stop recognize SATA HDD after BIOS reset (default)

You'll likely need either a driver disk for your SATA drive to be recognized by Windows XP during installation or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 built in to install without a driver disk.

Creating a Windows XP installation CD with Service Pack 2 or "SP2" built in is fairly straight forward. This is called "slip streaming". Step - by - step directions can be found in the following links:

Installatin problem xp

do you still have the other hard disk? Is xp installed there?
Then you can use the old disk as master and the new disk as slave disk.
Don't you have another hard drive? Then you just need your xp cd and put it in your cd drive. start computer and installation will automatically start. Make sure BIOS is set to boot from cd
