I have a new tomtom xl330s. I have same problem in that I program to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and it returns to home after about 90 miles when I test it after programming. I live near Edmonton.

If there's data (items) on your TomTom that you can remove/delete, like music, photo's, images, (useless/not needed) maps, favorites, etc. it will give you more "disk" space to work with.
You can back up the data (using the TomTom HOME application) before you remove the items from your device.
download tomtom home from www.tomtom.com install your cradle after the download then your tomtom and with a bit of luck, the update section will automatically select the updates you need. good luck
You Can charge your Tomtom when you drive, or you can charge it with a USB port on your computer.
I don't think they come with a mains charger anymore?
