I have a side by side GE and the water dispenser in the front, pours very slowly. I check the cord in teh back and it is fine, yet the water continues to dispense at a snails pace...any suggestions?

If it connects to your house plumbing via a saddle valve, replace the saddle valve. Avoid the self piercing type as they poke a very small hole in the house water line and will get plugged easily or the needle inside the valve will break off and drift in and out of the hole in the line.Other possibilities are: Plugged water filter (time to replace) or your water line is hooked up to a reverse osmosis system (RO) and you aren't getting enough flow and pressure through the RO system. Connect straight to house plumbing if that's the case. I would imagine you have hollow egg shell looking ice cubes too...?

GE TFX24E side by side refrigerator, ice maker won't fill with water.

Hi, I have a GE TFX24E refrigerator. The ice maker is not filling with water. I replaced teh water valve with no joy. If I pour a cup of water into the dispenser the ice maker will freeze and harvest the ice. Any ideas? Is there a replaceable water fill sensor?

GE Profile Icemaker freezing up; water freezes down inside wall of freezer; icemaker making ice, very slowly, but will not dispense. Water is still dispensing

This sounds like your water valve is not completely closing allowing water to drip and freeze. First check to make sure that the water tube going into the cup of the ice maker is lined up correctly and not causing this problem - if it is lined up correctly then replace the water valve on the back of the refrigerator that your main line is connected to.

Our water dispenser no longer gives us water, but the ice cube maker still works

You were probably away for the holidays and turned the heat down to low, and you now have a little ice in the water lines. Simply use a hairdryer on the front and the back (inside door) of the water dispenser for exactly 20 minutes. Then try your water

Water is pouring out of where the soap dispenser is. Can anyone help?

its pouring out because the dispenser is getting clogged in somewhere and not letting the water to the drain pump so its pouring from the soap dispenser. Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly , open the washer door and feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.
Hope that helps!

No water from water dispenser

I have a GE GSH22JFTA side by side and my water dispenser just stopped working after about a year. The selenoid for the pump is buzzing, and when I disconenct the water line at the bottom on the freezer door, it water dispenses fine. the water is freezing IN the freezer door. I got some plastic sheathing and duct tape and opened my freezer door and sealed the freezer compartment so the food would not defrost and left door open to thaw out. in about 2 hours, voila.. my dispenser was working again. I suspect I'm not the only one with this issue.
