Hcl lcd monitor osd locked posted to wrong forum, moved to HCL, out of ACER !!! not only that im posting from india not USA>

you have posted this problem many times here today, we are volunteers trying to help so multiple postings only help to block up the system.

this seems to be a common issue on hcl machines. is it not possible to change the power supply for a different brand or are the plugs specific to hcl. Maybe something like this will work.

It would be very unusual for a monitor to require a driver. Any drivers you need are included either with Windows or with your video adapter.
If you are having a problem, it's not with the drivers.

No signal at the monitor indicates (if you know the monitor is working ok) a failure of the graphics chip or graphics card, The lack of indicator light on the num lock LED and the lack of power to the mouse would indicate that there is a major issue with the motherboard.
you can try using another monitor to confirm the problem lies with the graphics, and in the case of the keyboard and mouse, swap them for a usb version, if they work, the Ps2 ports are probably damaged.

NO Bad Capacitors on the power board i have some problem in my HCL lcd monitor, my monitor display is on but at a time the display is gone. when i swicth off and on monitor power the monitor display is on ofter 2 sec the display is gone so that is the problem.

Dont think that am discouraing you.As i had serviced the Toshiba machines i am telling you the parts of the machines will be available only with HCL , and some dealers. The parts, toners are very costly. But the quality of the parts purchased from hcl will be good and they are the original.
Only the HCL is the one company in india that is authorized for selling the original parts and few are the other having relationship with hcl.

Dont put duplicate because the product will go soon. particularly i will tell you. Drum it will come for 1 lakh copies, Toner with the new machine will come for nearly 5 thousand. Developer it wont require the replacement if it is original. these are the consumables.

Except the cost, other are positive points for toshiba products.

You will need to change the display settings for the type of lcd monitor you have, it is a wide screen I am assuming, you can change this by right clicking on the desktop select properties then settings the screen resolution should be on the middle left side and change this until you get a screen that you like There is also an advanced setting then select monitor at the top tab and change to refresh rate to the lowest setting (60 hz) this should get the HCL monitor up then change the setting until they dont work the operating system will revert to the previous settings if you cant see anything after a change. you may also need to use the automated setup on the lcd monitor select auto from the menu (osd). Now if you can not do this on the HCL lcd you may need to use that other Samsung monitor and then set up on that at the lowest resolution so that the lcd can be changed with a working screen. Lastly you may need to uninstall the samsung monitor drivers if you installed those, and leave the generic drivers in for the monitor (plug and play monitor).
I am making some guesses here as you did not tell me if the 1st Samsung monitor was a lcd also , and if the second HCL monitor is a wide screen etc what type of operating system are you running is also important 98 is fussy and 2000 is much more simplified as is XP , vista would be garbage (if you could get it to run on a pIII),
As for reasons for resolution problems, way too many variables to discuss in a short answer forum like this, sufficed to say that the resolution is different because in the past there were lower resolution (less pixels) on monitors, the refresh rates were different by manufacturers and the way the lines were scanned could be different, so setup of the monitor with the video card was also very important interlacing etc was also handled differently until that industry decided on a common standard.

I HAVE AN OSD LOCKOUT ON MY SCREEN WHICH BRINGS UP THE MAIN MENUE. THE MOUSE DOESNT WORK ON IT TO SWITCH IT OFF!!
