Question about Soyo Computer Monitors
First the monitor showed bright yellow. So I pulled the plugs and rebooted. Now the greyed print is very light and some of the colors seem dim. I can adjust the contrast and it is ok but can't seem to get to the brightness to lower it down a bit. The buttons on the side of the screen are "Menu, +, -, vol, mode, and Auto".
The Auto doesn't seem to do anything. The Mode, bring up a box the says "HIGHLIGHT." Full,Half, Window, Off. I can't seem to navigate to these titles.
No there isn't any. there is probably a part that is damaged due to the surge u should get a new one or send it back to the company

umm... you are NOT supposed to use mouse !!
These are on-screen displays and you can use the other buttons (up down and select) to navigate through and then to change the values !

It seems to be a hardware issue with the buttons. They are stuck or the rubber cushion under the button has gone bad. That's the reason they are getting pressed automatically. You may take to a local store for a small repair.

You can adjust the
brightness and contrast of your monitor to improve the readability of text and
to make digital pictures appear more like they'll look when printed.
To improve the results
when adjusting the brightness and contrast settings for your display, use
Display Color Calibration. (Display Color Calibration helps you adjust these
color settings and others.) For more information about calibrating your display
color in Windows,
see Calibrate your display.
The way you adjust
brightness and contrast varies and depends on your specific display.
Brightness and contrast buttons on the front of the monitor. Some monitors have brightness and contrast
controls on the front and use the standard symbols shown in the following
On-screen menu. You can change the brightness and contrast settings for some
displays by using an on-screen menu, and then setting the brightness and
contrast in the resulting menu. Many times, you can view the on-screen menu by
pressing a button-possibly labeled Menu-on the front of the monitor.
