Side side door noise(fridge side door)

Whenever you open the right side (fridge side of side by side) 100% it makes a clunk and if look at the bottem of door where it rotates around a shaft you can see a spacer or gasket that moves at the same time of noise . The gasket or spacer jerks and noise happens at the same time? can i replace the spacer / gasket? ? do i remove something at top and just pick the door up?
thanks

You need the lower hinge and cam kit. remeve the top hinge then lift the door off the hinge and replace the hinge and the cam on the door.

I think I have a water problem? I hear a clunking noise at various times from I think the right bottom of the unit. Water and Ice seem to be working fine.

Hi.

The clunking noise is the compressor. It usually means that one of the internal mounts that secure the compressor motor is gone. The whole compressor needs replacement.
First ensure that the fridge is at level. A not well leveled unit's compressor can make noise.
If fridge level is OK, call the Whirlpool customer service number listed on manual. The compressor has a long warranty. If the fridge is the one in question you may still be covered for the part.

Regards.

Ginko.

Loud noise from the freezer side

The problem is a buildup of ice on the plastic housing (the curved plastic bit) in the back of the freezer under the fixed shelf where the icetub goes. The fan behind this plastic housing is hitting the ice when the defrost comes on.

Unplug the fridge, unpack the freezer, remove the four screws in the back, take off the sheetmetal backing and let the fridge thaw. You can remove the plastic piece after a while and get the ice off (be careful not to remove the styrofoam insulation by going too quickly).

Reassemble and you're back in business, for a few months. I'm never buying Samsung again myself.
