Battery door is broken, can't find anywhere to replace it.

The battery door broke on my i832 (in 2 separate pieces) over the Christmas holidays -- I've tried to tape it, but can't get it tight enough to work the batteries. Any ideas?

Broken battery door can be fix

Parts for this type of camera are no longer available and not really cost effective. Your best bet would be to by a new camera or if you were really attached to this one use an epoxy of some sort to keep the two broken pieces held together. Super glue will not do it.

Polaroid i832 Digital Camera

We had the same problem with my sister's i832. After searching all over, I finally contacted Polaroid directly. For $20, they sent me a brand new battery cover to replace myself. It came with pretty clear instructions, and it was very easy to replace. The price definitely seemed a bit excessive, being a tiny piece of plastic and all. But it was worth it, as opposed to trashing a pretty nice camera.

Now if only we can figure out how to get the flash fixed, since it no longer wants to work anymore.....

Broken battery door

These guys claim to carry the parts for the i832, but unfortunately don't list what they have exactly. Contact them and see if they would send you a new battery door, but I think they will unfortunately require you to send the camera to them for service; Hope you get something from them, there are no parts lists as such, the camera manufacturers have decided to sell parts only to authorised service centres, not to individuals, as amateur repairs often cause cameras more problems, making the products seem unreliable. No mystery, and not due to them being money grabbing - they just want people to think their cameras are good. Another thing to try is to go to any camera shops near you, see if they have any un-repairable i832s that you could cannibalise for parts, sometimes they will give these for free if you ask nicely enough. Hope this helps :)
