Find your laptop and you can download Launch Manager (re-install) and you can re-install the Web-Cam drivers.
i had a similar problem ,i run linpus linux lite and my compute told me it needed a thing call snack plug in so i looked it up online,downloaded it and ive been able to use my cam on everything another choice is to go to acer homepage were you can update drivers etc
