If by duplicates, you mean backups, then you would have to mod your ps2. If it is a "Fat" ps2 you should be able to easily softmod it.
The smaller ones you may need a modchip.

If you dont have another ps2 or a ps3 that is backwards compatible,

then do it may not be such a good idea.

Alternatively, you can try an emulator. ( YOU NEED TO OWN THE ACTUAL PS2 FOR THIS TO BE lEGAL)
