Go to the Lenovo website (www.lenovo.com). They bought out the IBM PC business. Search for 0275-011 and it will bring up the download page with drivers and instructions. Direct link is: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-4793QC

*Follow this link from Microsoft to download the latest driver.
*This page provides a list of Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) devices with built-in drivers in the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. There is no need for additional drivers to get the WIA experience out of the box when installing these devices.

UmaxUmax PowerLook III Flatbed scanner not support in windows xp

After checking the UMAX site for XP drivers, choose whatever is the latest drivers they provide, and then try to install them as normal. If it installs normally but does not run correctly, right-click on the executable for the scanner program and choose PROPERTIES and then adjust the COMPATIBILITY MODE to Win2000 or WIn98 and try running it again.

If the drivers for the scanner will not install, I had good luck tricking the operating system into installing the drivers by changing the OS description in the .INI file of the driver package, though this is something not so easy to do.

Good luck...

Might not be, a lot of scanners do not have Vista drivers.
You could consider VueScan from Hamrick.
