Jenn-Air JMC7000 Microwave stop working

We have a Jenn-Air JMC7000 Microwave Oven, almost 10 years old. Recently, microwave stops working although oven works fine. We tried to check if the fuse is broken, but we could not access any parts inside the microwave or oven. There are a few screws on the middle panel between oven and microwave, but after I took them out, I still could not access the inside. May someone tell me how to dissasemble it?

My microwave stopped working suddenly. The front pannel is not working and even its clock is off.

I would suspect the fuse first, then the magnetron's thermostat second.

The full service manual for the JMC7000 is here.

Jenn Air Microwave builtin oven has no display and will not turn on. Had the power to the oven checked and it's ok. The oven stop working when it was on. The oven is 17 years old.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You should check the internal fuse as well as the oven cavity thermostat / thermal cutout and the magnetron's thermostat / thermal cutout.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

seems like you have to replace the control/touch panel module of the oven.

Jenn-Air JMC7000 Microwave Stopped working

So it's dead? (No display, no inside lights, no beeps?)

A microwave can be dead for many reasons.

If it goes dead for a while during or after cooking then comes back on, the magnetron is probably overheating and causing the thermostat to open. When it cools, it closes the circuit and allows power through again.

If it's random, it may be a bad connection, usually on the control board or fuse holder.

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

If the fuse is good, it may be an open thermostat or thermal cutout on or near the magnetron or on top of the cavity / body of the oven.
