Push center and menu buttons as you keep it connected to the computer charger. That will hard reset the ipod. If it doesn't respond to the hard reset it is more likely you have motherboard issue. You can try to open it and clean the corroded parts on the logic board. If that doesn't help, there are parts available on ebay, there is a ipod repair guide that will show you how to open your ipod replace the logic board.

Ya it's done.. Ipods are not water proof to any extent of the imagination. Unfortunately it looks like you'll have to get a new one. THe repair cost on that will exceed the cost of replacement since you'll have to pay for labour. Also water damage is not covered under the apple warranty.

Can i use my washing machine with no lid switch

as long as everything is working it's ok,all it is is a safety switch so the washer won't run with the lid open,a kid could open the lid when it's spinning and it won't shut down and if the kid sticks his or her hand or arm inside it could get ugly so it's a safety switch that's it.

Water fills in, but wash cycle won't start. spin cycle works, changed motor still won't work

Its either in the lid switch or timer. Examine the lid switch. Try starting the wash cycle and press in on lid switch to make sure it activates. If the lid switch is good and you dont hear the motor trying to activate during wash than its in the timer. Does the timer advance? Please comment me back If you need further assistance.

Agitator won,t work tub will fill, and empty but won't spin and agitator won't work

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, the washing machine may not agitate or function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Doesn't work at all

there isn't much you can do at that point unless you can narrow down what part is failing. most likely, the mother board is shorted somewhere. there are companies that do repair them but you might be better off getting a new one.
