Question about Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 for PC

Type mismatch in MSFlexGrid Control

Sir,
When I Click a Row in MS Flexgrid Control, I must get the Time Elapsed.
That is the difference between Timein - Timeout = Elapsed Time
For Ex:
Timein = MSFlexGrid.Textmatrix(MSFlexgrid.Row,0)
Timeout = MSFlexGrid.TextMatrix(MSFG.Row, 1)
Elapsed time = MSFlexGrid.TextMatrix(MSFG.Row, 2)
I want to get Elapsed time, when I click a particular row in MSFlexGrid Control
i.e., Elapsed time = Timeout - Timein

I am getting runtime error message No.13 Which says " Type mismatch "
When I click on debug button,
I am getting MSFlexGrid.TextMatrix(MSFG.Row, 2) = ""

Many a time I tried in all sorts using all of my knowledge, but everytime I am getting the same error message. I am unable to get through the error.

So I request your good self to solve this problem as soon as possible.

Type mismatch error occours when there is a mismatch between the value which you are trying to assign to a variable which is dimensioned to store values of another, first you check if the datatypes match each other by applying the break.

Send data from flexgrid to crystal report

Clearly specify the problem? What exactly are you trying to do?
Either one way of sending data would be
You can transfer the data from the flexgrid to a database table.
Then while calling the report you can call the data from the database.

Flexgrid with textbox

The arrow key will place you into the cell of your choice. In code you can determine the cell you are in by using the "Col" and "Row" properties. Here's a snippet for you:

Private Sub MSFlexGrid1_RowColChange()
Dim intCol As Integer
Dim intRow As Integer

intCol = MSFlexGrid1.Col
intRow = MSFlexGrid1.Row

Text1.Text = CStr(intCol) & " ; " & CStr(intRow)

End Sub

Inserting data into MSFlexGrid control from an excel file

Have you tried implementing an ADO (Active Data Object) control (available from the toolbox)? Properly configured (and run via OLEDB or Microsoft Jet as appropriate for your setup) it works like a champ.

Program not working

Type mismatch is caused by trying to use a variable defeined as one type to store another type of data. For example a variable that is integer but you try to set it to a letter.
In VB.net this can be caused by a line like this:
textbox="hello"
when it should be
textbox.text="hello"
see if you have that sort of mistake.

How can i print datas from MSFlexGrid in VB6

I hear a lot of people are asking that question. I am sure its possible.
Try this:

For i = 0 To Form1.MSFlexGrid1.Col
For j = 0 To Form1.MSFlexGrid1.Row
Print Form1.MSFlexGrid1.TextMatrix(i, j)
Next j
Next i

That should move the data. I think. This isn't my best area; however, It doesn't hurt to try it right?

Hope it helps.
