Question about Kenmore 96012 / 96014 / 96019 Electric Kitchen Range
I have a noise coming from the panel where the clock and burner controls are. when the fuse for the clock is removed the noise stops. i have replaced the fuse but the noise returns. its almost like a humming/rattle. Help. thanks, susan.
My GE range had the same problem. There was an electrolytic capacitor on the timer board that failed (100uf at 50 Volts). It is next to the board's power transformer and part of the DC filter circuit. If you don't know what this means, perhaps an electronic tech can help you. Anyways, it is repairable, though proper skills required.

There is an internal component in the clock that is probably responsible for the noise not much can be done other than changing the clock. Also try tightening all screws on the clock. good luck
