Question about Yamaha HTR-5890 Receiver
Here's the link to the product page; http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=200016&CTID=5000400 You have to register to download the manual, but it is free. Once you have registered click downloads and the manual is available here. Page 73/74 describes the reset procedure for the remote control unit. For the main unit go to page 63 "Parameter initialization", this procedure is the factory reset. If for any reason you can't get this to work, unplugging the unit from the mains for more than 1 week will reset the memory, there is an internal memory rechargable cell which if you could identify it (sorry i have no drawings) may be able to be disconnected and save you waiting a week. Yamaha does not suggest this option anywhere though, so it may not be possible. Hope this helps, please ask again if you need more info :)
