First thing you need to know is that heat is not all it takes to get your clothes dry. what you need is to get the moisture from the clothes out of the dryer. the only way this happens is with air flow and that is what you are lacking.
the way to find out is make sure your lint filter is clean, then check to see how much air is going out of the house. most likely the vent is pinched off behind the unit causing very little air flow. if the vent is straight and as short as possible, then you may need to have your vent cleaned out fro the unit to outside your house.
clean or fix the vent and if you can remove the vent from the dryer, let the air go into your laundry room and try a load that way, if it works then you know the vent is the problem.

The timer is probably bad. If the dryer works on sensor dry use that. A timer is so expensive it is not cost effective to buy a nee one. You may as well buy a new dryer.

Kenmore Elite Clothes Dryer working but not drying

First take dryer vent hose off and check for a plugged vent, clean it all out. There is either a clamp on the hoses you take off by prying or with a screwdriver, should be two one at the dryer and one at the vent to exit the house, also make sure that there is nothing blocking the door on the vent that exits the house sometime animal like to build nests there. If this does not fix the problem it could be the heating element in the dryer, sometimes it is cheaper to just replace the dryer than the element

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Hello I have a Kenmore clothes dryer (80 series). It takes multiple cycles to dry the clothes.

Remove the connecting vent on the rear and run a timed load 45 minutes. If it dries correctly repair the vent blockage.

2 to 3 cycles to fully dry clothes

if the clothes are warm after the cycle then you need to make sure the vent to the outside of the house is not plugged if they are not warm then it is in the heating circuit of the dryer wether it be the element or a fuse will have to be tested. to dry clothes it takes heat and air flow if you dont have one of the two they will not dry correctly
