Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Every so often we pull out clothes and bedding with purplish ink-type stains on them. We always check the basin and in all of the clothes to make sure we didn't happen to leave a pen in there. We haven't found one yet. Is it possible that one slipped through the holes in the past and is now leaking out ink on occasion? If so, how do we get to it to fix it? Conveniently (for the ink, I guess), everything it stains is either white or light colored. It ignores the darker colors.

SOURCE: Rust stains and bleach spots.
I'm sorry but the white spots will be due to bleach. It may be that there was undissolved bleach in the washer after the first load. Maybe some of it came out with the whites and lay in wait in the basket.
I doubt the makers would guarantee anything for 7 years, so no free basket or installation is likely. Seems there is a chip in the enamel and dampness / water from the previous wash days before sits there collecting iron as rust particles.
For the time being you could try rinsing the machine out before the first load. That might prevent the rust marks or reduce them.

SOURCE: grease stains on dark clothing
i have some good news for you, its n greas. what it is, is built up detergen between the tubs. its common on front loads. its due to to much detergen. waht i recomend to all my customers is not to sue more then 4 table spoons of detergen for a wash. now how to get rid of it, take some POWDERED dishwaher detergent and run a HOT cycle do this about 3 time and that should fix the problem. hope this helped .

Grease will not come from the interior of the washer, as the machine ages build up deposits under the basket and it is oily, greasy and full of mildew. If can get a spanner wrench from a appliance parts house and remove the basket you will see on machines older than three years a build up starting. I pulled 15 lbs from a 25 year old machine and I had to go get sick outside, it was bad.

SOURCE: leaving spots on clothes
it might be the fabric softnerl. some softeners are too concentrated even in little amounts
and does not dispense all the way. Watering it down might help and I you ll able to get most of the other spots off even after drying by
wetting the area and rubbing just regular bar soap on the spots then
If they're black greasy spots they could have been caused by the washer. try changing the washer.
