I have a similar unit with tandem DVD's. Chances are that your power source is good and the problem is the power port on the side of the unit. Both of my units have a broken post on the back of the circuit board. I've tried to solder them with limited success. One lasted two weeks, the other has brought me to this site looking for a service center. I'm sure it's a poor manufacturer design that puts too much stress on the solder post.
might be able to help u,
My DVD player "died" on me, company told me no parts for this unit. Was going to "file 13" the player but decided maybe somebody might need some parts out there. My Player is a Nortech Media Model E-DVKIT03. Got a remote, ac adapter, av cord and player itself. Will give them away free to first person who emails me @ email@example.com.
Just need to get rid of them.
