I have an EasyShare 5500 that will print the calibration sheet, however it will not scan and align, it just keeps saying that calibration page not detected.. What do I do? It also will not print red, even after deep cleaning the heads. It just prints pink.

When you calibrate the 5100 AIO, first, you push in the photo paper drawer until it CLICKS. Next, print an alignment sheet. It will use the photo paper. Pull the drawer out, put the printed sheet in the scanner bed, with the arrow in the right hand corner, closest to you. Press start and it will scan and print a sheet on full sized paper. If your initial scan doesn't print onto photo paper, you don't have the drawer pushed in the whole way. There is a definite click and the green light will turn on.
You may have a faulty printhead. I just purchased a new one and had a time with it. Awful color in picture. Kodak sent me a new printhead and new ink tanks. Now it works great. You may have printhead trouble also, contact Kodak for help.
I think it may be a faulty printhead. Phone or email Kodak, email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 1-800-421-6699. option 1.

First of all, you only need to calibrate the printer once (when you first set it up). Second, you can calibrate it on regular paper. Third, if you can print pictures without a problem, then you should not worry about the calibration page at all.
Sorry to hear that you are stuck?
If and when you regain the function of the menu button, you should perform a calibration. It should be done every time you install or replace a printhead. However, you can run a calibration if you are seeing changes in the image quality. Calibration aligns the printheads and performs a nozzle health check to enable high-quality prints.
1 Load the main tray or photo tray with photo paper. You don't have any photo paper, but it is recommended for calibrations.
2 Press Menu.
3 Scroll down until Calibrate Printer is selected.
4 Press OK. A new screen appears with Print Calibration Page selected.
5 Press Start and follow the instructions on the LCD screen to complete the calibration.
If the stuck condition presists, let us know. Best bet is to call us directly at the 800 421 6699 as our team will be able to get you running quickly.
