Need to know how to import videos to my psp

Hi lil_kluker,
Based on your concern, I suggesttrying the following steps:
1. Connect thePSP to your PC with a USB cable.

2. Press the"home" button on the PSP

--> at the lower left of thescreen you can see the home button.
3. Use the left-rightdirectional buttons to find "Settings", then the up-down buttons tofind "USB Connection" on the PSP.
4. Press the"X" button, your PSP should display "USB Connection".
5. Please wait untilyour computer tells you that a new USB device has been connected, then
show youa new generic hard drive, usually E: or F:
6. Click on the driveletter that corresponds to the PSP unit.
7. Now create a newfolder on that drive and name it "psp".
8. Within the new"psp" folder create another folder, and name it "video".

9. Copy your desired files into the new "video" folder.
--> note: psp unit can only play mp4 file for video. But if youhave the latest version it could also play WMA file.
--> so make sure to convert all videos to mp4 format before transferring.

10. When you're done copying your desired videos, press the"O" button on the PSP to get out of USB connect mode.
To play video, Use theleft-right arrows to move to the Video area, then the up-down arrows to find"Memory Stick". Chose that folder by pressing the "X"button again, and you should be able to find all your favorite movie!

Hope it helps,
Thank you for using FixYa.

Modify psp 3000

At this time, the PSP can apparently use a softmod called chickhen or somethin like that....(haven't bothered since I'm waiting for a complete hack/unlock method)......But It Can't Be Fully Modded .....YET.

However, if you use (a certain software type) it is possible to back up ANY dvd/video and rip it to the PSP.

On the 3000 series PSP models, You must create a folder called "VIDEO" on the root of the card. All of your videos can be placed in this folder! They gotta be MPEG-4 (mp4) format. This Will Work!

Also, music and pictures, etc.... is all located in the "psp" folder in their respectively named subfolders.

So for now, your best bet is to download LEGAL games. I don't condone piracy, so I strongly advise you to support the developers of Games/Music/Movies, etc..... and just buy it....

So if you own a digital copy of a movie, feel free to use this method to transfer it to your PSP if you Don't own a PS3 (which can transfer movies to the PSP) and you don't have internet service, and you OWN the digital copy of the video.

There ya go.

PSP (Modified 3000) wont transfer game files I download, yet movies transfer fine and work. What am I doing wrong?

You sure the games that you've downloaded are working properly & suitable for your PSP & your version?
Make sure that you have a folder called ISO in the root of your PSP. Drag & drop game files in there!

I dont know how to get a movie playing

you have to use an MP4 converter.

then just create a new folder in the root directory named MP_ROOT, and then make a folder called 100MNV01 in there. So your .MP4 files should go into E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01, where E:\ is the drive letter of your Memory Stick

Hope it helps
