Question about Bose Companion III Computer Speakers
The pin connector (the part that plugs into the subwoofer) on the end of the wire for the wired remote has broken off, and I don't know which color wire goes to which pin!
Can someone find out for me... maybe open it up somehow and look or some wiring schematic or other...
Thanks in advance!!
For those searching the answer "How to replace/repair Creative Inspire 5300 volume control":
Its simple : looking at the back of the suboofer, the pins are as follows from top right, clockwise : LED VDD , Balance pot middle leg, GND, pots + legs, Volume pot middle leg, on switch input. Connect one pots ends to GND and the other ends to pots +, connect a switch on GND and on switch input, anode of led to LED VDD, cathode to GND (there is a 1,8k resistor inside so no external resistor needed)

First things first:
This is not a special and critical eq. from creative, you can take it to the reapair shop and they sometimes have the schematics, other than this, sorry you have to RMS to CREATIVE.

This sounds like an electrical problem in the speaker circuitry - between the speaker(s) and the control knob.
