I have got a 500gb iomega hdd. I have got it plugged in to my laptop but my laptop will not reconise it. It has a blue power light flashing on the front. I have also tried it on the home desk top and its just the same.

I had the same problem with this hard disk. I have installed paragon disk suite 2009. I ran the software and left it running after sometime it recognised my external hard disk automatically. Dont knw how it happened but worked for me.
