Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

Playstation 3 Connection issue. Playstation/Game/Connection ?

So I have had my Playstation3 for over a year now, and I am a frequent user of online gamming. Specifically Madden 09,COD4/5. I have always had great signal. I have NEVER had an issue before, I literally just played 2 nights ago and everything was fine, now all of a sudden something is wrong. When I check under the network settings my signal is 98%, I can browse on the internet, but once a game is put in , and I go to play it online , ( Call of Duty 4 ) it freezes up and never connects me. Also with Madden 09 I can connect, but just minutes into the game, the "connection is lost" , and it had to have been mine since I tried to play 5 consecutive games, and the same thing happened everytime. I checked the cables to make sure everythink was secure, I refreshed my system, disk cleaner, I have tried everything, and my original thought was it was something minor is now that it is getting to be a more serious issue. Any help you can give me would be GREATLY appreciated thanks !

UPDATE: I got a flashdrive and saved my game data to it. I did the quick system refresh, and re-loaded the call of duty 4 game in, and same issue. It is not the game because I borrowed my friends same COD4 game , and it did the same thing where it was connecting to host and never connected, but prior to that I played a game of madden online, and that works ???? Makes no sence to me... Right now as we speak I am doing the full 5 hour refresh, so we will se what the deal is there .... how can this be possible , it is making me crazy .... I have been playing for a year, and now all of a sudden it's bugging out. The system runs great, but this small issue is bothering me. How could this one game not work all of a sudden. Settings have all been re set so it is not that , could it be the COD servers ? Could I have a little virus ? What could be the issue ?

You might need to get another router. Your NAT might not be Open. Its probably Moderate. Which means most of the time you cannot connect to a game or host. Get my point? Well i got a new router and that fixed it :)

Playstation dosent want to work at all !

By the problem description you provided I would assume you encountered the unfortunate Yellow Light of Death. This problem tends to be caused by a hardware issue. Although I don't have a direct solution, I would suggest using your PS3's Limited One-Year Warranty or looking in their Knowledge Center.

Error code (8001050F) appears. How do i manualy reconnect. Nephew down the road has no problem playstation3

There is a worldwide issue which Sony are fully aware of which is affecting
all old model PS3's, The new slimline PS3's are not affected.

Due to an internal clock failure on the units they are not syncronsing with the
network time on the PSN's end. Causing error-8001050F

There is no official ETA although at 16:58 GMT today (1st March) Sony released a
statement stating they should have the problem resolved within 24 hours and have
advised all PS3 users experiencing issues NOT to use their PS3 until they
advise the issue is resolved as it could result in loss of functionality and
further damage.
