You can try to clear your private data (Tools->Clear Private Data). That may solve your problem.

Takes forever to connect with yahoo mail using firefox d

Try using the Windows internet explorer and if it is connecting fine then you need to uninstall and reinstall your firefox. There is a posible bad sector in the firefox software.

If the issue still the same and if you are using win vista go to Wlan / Lan properties set the TCP/IP IPv4 properties to automatic DNS and automatic IP address.

Then Uncheck the TCP/IP IPv6 - save changes.

If using other Ver of Windows call your ISP provider for further Troubleshooting.

I'm having problems running programs on my HP pavilion dv2000. The programs having problems are: Google Chrome setup Firefox 3.0.1 Nortel Contivity VPN The problem is that all 3 programs cannot...

The problem looks with the Nortel VPN. VPN software blocks all other Internet connections when started. This way they create a secure, encrypted tunnel from your pc to the destination pc and does not allow the other connections -Firefox, Chrome etc- to perform. The non performing Internet applications mean less threats online (e.g. nobody can exploit a flaw in Firefox and reach your VPN connection).

If the problem is that the browsers do not function even after you stop the VPN connection, it may be that the VPN software is still running in the background. You can make Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the running processes and see if the VPN is running in the background. If yes, turn it off.

I have a laptop, with broadband. I can't send e-mails can u please me Rose

Hi rosemary1027,

Chances are this is a configuration issue. If you've got a working connection to the Internet, then email will work as well.

First things first. What program are you using to try to send email? Outlook? Outlook Express? Windows Mail? Or are you going out on the web using a browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)? If you can go into more detail, including the domain name for your email address (i.e. aol.com, msn.com, hotmail.com) then I can help you.
