Hi
My laptop was working fine with the camera using Nikon Transfer but the laptop won't now recognise it. The camera lights up when it's connected via USB, I've tried different slots, I've re-installed...
I suspect it's my laptop rather than the camera but....help?
Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.
Dont bother to connect camera to pc..just use the SD card reader...either external usb one or laptops internal one

Don't worry about it. My Ipod won't connect either. Grr.
I have only had my D60 for a few months now and nikon transfer was working fine but now the computer doesn't like to load the photo's from the camera and says that the camera has no photo's on. This is strange as it manages to connect to camera control pro 2?
If anyone knows how to fix this the please email me at [email protected]!
