Hitachi ax m110 no sound

If the speakers on A for example and your receiver is set to B you will not get any sound comming out, check your settings carefully. There is the possibility somebody hit the mute button, again this would stop the sound. If you happen to have the old manual for the receiver use the original remote that came with it because this would greatly simplify getting it working.

How do I hook my ipod to this yamaha device HTR-5850 -- is there a piece of hardware I can get to interface? thanks

Get a 1/8" miniplug-to-RCA-cable adapter and plug the headphone output directly into any compatible input on the receiver. Press PLAY.

Read the article (it's short). Don't buy into the hype about better cables. IPOD's don't stack up as hi-fi to begin with and cables are cables are cables....

I have a Hitachi AXM136U and the remote turns my tv on and off when using the hi fi

I sold a hitachi ax-m131U - very similar model - to a buyer who experienced the same problem. The problem is with the TV as it should not react to Hitachi codes. His TV was LG. He contacted LG support and a technician visited to update the software in his plasma!

I have a Hitachi AX-m133 hi fi. When i try to play songs from my 2nd generation ipod nano via the usb port the display just says reading... checking system then locks up.

Hi
I recently got one of these and had the same problems. These were solved as follows.

Firstly, for small devices such as USB sticks and MP3 players they must be formated as FAT32 otherwise they cant be read, NTFS does not appear to be supported.

Secondly, for portable hard drives they must be also formated to FAT32 they also need to be externaly powered. For my 2 1/2" lap top drive the power from the USB port on the machine was not enough to fire up the drive I had to use a Y cable plugged into a mains usb charger to boost the power it then worked fine. Also be a little patient as it will take a little while to read the drive, this will depend on the drive capacity but you should hear the drive ticking over as it does this
