Re: Blinking green light, lens not coming out, not able...
I had the same issue with both my D550 and D560 that I just picked up. If you are using normal AA batteries, change to Lithium. Now both my camera's are working. I used to be able to use AA's but for some reason, the ones I have picked up recently were not strong enough. Worth a try at only about $10 for a 4 pack at your local Walgreens or CVS.

blurry, out of focus, image fomation, problem of the focusing unit of the lens unit ,while taking a snap, half click the camera button, till u get foucus indicator blinking GREEN light, then click,if not service the lens unit/replace the unit.
The camera is cannot confirm focus, so it locks up. Try changing the button on the lens to M. Manually focus the lens on something and take a picture. Move the button back to A (autofocus). It should work ok. If not, try moving the switch back and forth several times to clean any corrosion. Try another lens on it to determine if its the camera or the lens.

I'm having the same problem with mine. Happens on rechargeables or brand new standard batteries as well. Very frustrating. I can't take more than 2 videos in a row without the dreaded orange/green lights flashing (low battery warning). Leaving it for 10-20 minutes and it works again, with the battery charge showing full.
