Power on but no display

Does it say no signal? Does is beep correctly during POST(power on self test)? Usually the remedy for this is checking your vga data cable if its connected properly and if it is, check the pins, are they all looking fine? If not change the cable and try again. If the cable is attached to your screen permanently, try a different screen.

K8NF4G MOTHERBOARD IS NOT WORKING

Your Video Card (Graphics Card) is probably bad. To isolate the problem connect another monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same NO Signal Message then your video card is bad. If the Borrowed monitor displays and works correctly, then your original monitor is bad. The fact that your monitor displays the No Signal Message on it shows that the monitor is ok.

If you have a laptop, the video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

I installed 17" LCD Acer

If you have a graphics card make sure that the 'signal' cable is attached to it rather than your motherboard's built-in graphics port. other than that, make sure you have the drivers for the monitor.

Just installed a new Gigabyte 880GM-D2H motherboard, 4 GB RAM (Corsair DDR3 1333), AMD Phenom II multi-core processor (X6 1055T), 750 W power supply, Maxtor 500 GB hard drive and a Blu Ray DVD Drive. ...

motherboard to hard drive leads

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty ?
one bad lead will end with a computer error a computer needs its connections continue its cycle and have an end to function properly

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause this problem computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

hope this helps

LG Flatron Monitor w2361v turns on, but than says that it's in power saving mode.

It is not detecting a signal from source (PC or laptop). Check video cable by subbing in a known working one. If a laptop, you may need to use a function key combo - usually ctrl-F5 to force signal to external VGA. If desktop, then verify connections are plugged in and video card is seated properly. Good luck!

Intel 845 GL mother board no display ;processor memory & SMPS are working fine in another mother board

Does it have any beep sounds on switching on( some computers won't produce beep sound) or does your monitor is not getting any signals from computer even though it is ON and has shown any message or menu screen of Monitor functions then,
You will be having a faulty RAM or your Graphic port has some hardware malfunction.Or it can be also from a new unsupported hardware installation that will prevent computer from booting up.

If your monitor does not provide any of the above monitor functions successfully then
It would be a monitor problem. Check wires or cables of monitors or contact nearby technical support

Monitor not recieving signal?

Hello,
If you are really sure that your monitor is working, then you would probably have to change your graphics card with a working one to see the results. That should solve your problem. If this does not solve your problem, then we are not dealing with a display problem here. In this case, you may have to check your memory.

All the best.
