Trying to get my WIFI working
SOURCE: keyboard keys not working
Take the keyboard off and check the connector to see if it has worked loose. Disconnect and clean both the keyboard and motherboard connections, then put it back together and try it. If it still doesn't work properly then you will need to replace it. The keyboard is one of the most used devices on the machine, and although they're built to last, they do wear out and/or malfunction.
SOURCE: Fn+F8 hotkey dose not work but the remain FX go fine
Another Alternative is to check your BIOS to see whether or not your Wireless is turned on, if it is not pressent in your BIOS then update your BIOS Driver on the Internet to ver 1.4, Double check your version Compatabillity. Next if the adapter driver is installed, follow the following intructions: start -> settings -> control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager -> now look for the wireless adapter, see if it is operational or marked with an error -> if it is marked check that it is configured for automatic, and also the resources. Set the configuration manually if so. restart the system.
1) Resource conflict = change resource settings
2) No adapter = check if the adapter is enabled (Y) then see if there is any conflicts (y) correct the settings e.g. resources and see if windows shows that the device is enabled (N) try to enable this device. If (N) then goto BIOS settings to correct it.
Hope this helps
SOURCE: FN key does not bring
If the Fn Key plus the WiFi key doesn't toggle the Wifi, then there may be a problem with the driver or the transmitter hardware in the laptop.
If you need to network with your office, you might be able to hardwire using RJ-45 or Direct Ethernet cable connection, in some cases, if your administrator allows this type of access. It will require a Cat 3 or Cat 4 (less likely) cable to connect in this way.
You could also get a card that inserts into the slot for the laptop for expansion, that would allow Wifi connections via another transmitter.
Another alternative would be to transfer your files to a usb 2.0 flash drive and transfer that to the office computer without Wifi, and continue processing your files from there through the USB 2.0 port found on many modern computers.
Or, if your office computer allows emailing files, then you could email the relevant files in an 'attachment' to your office network.
Good luck on this.
I hope this helps.
