AVIC Z2 Volume goes high and low.

I can't figure out why the volume goes high and low on my AVIC Z2. It does this on all the sources. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You need to go into your audio menu or function menu and turn off ASL. this is a circuit that is meant to adjust the volume for you automatically depending on road noise.

well there may be a loose connection on the board or a short in the circuitry. The first thing to do is try to reset it by disconnecting it from all power sources which could mean disconnecting your battery if needed
