Rat Nest in oven insulation

We removed a rat nest from our oven insulation - just took it all apart , took out all insulation , sprayed and cleaned all surfaced in side and out . Now it has no insulation , but oven works. Do you think this is safe to use ?

where can I find insulation? I am looking to use it to build a cajun microwave

We have the same problem in our Kenmore gas stove (purchased 9/07 - so we don't really want to have to replace it.) We are going to take all of the "polluted" insulation out this weekend, and we are looking for information about how to put it back in. Any advice? We are very handy DIY-types.

No the insulation must be replaced . the insulation makes the oven cycle on and off less frequently and also keeps the exposed metal surfaces cooler.

How do i get to the airconditioning. I think i have a rodent(rat) in the air conditioning systerm.

If the rodent have already made its way inside the evaporator casing, and made himself a nest, then you may have to do a dashboard removal and hvac casing overhaul. You can peek or reach through the cabin filter or blower fan compartment to get an idea.

I had a rats nest (big balled up thread), took off the plate to clean it out and loosened the screw on the metal part over the cutter to clean under it. Now it has wiper error.

First I'm not a Babylock Tech. I have cleaned out machines of rodent damage.

* It's not just the removal of trash (and droppings) that you need to check.
* Look exposed, cut, shorted wires. Typically the insulation and plastic will have teeth marks. They look like rounded razor cuts. Any cut wires must be repaired.
* Yellow discoloring on wires and electronic components will short out electronics.
* Rodents only appear when they are unafraid and looking for food. Plastics that do not normally have food inside of body will not attract vermin seeking food unless they are really starving or they found some food (crumbs) nearby. This machine was probably in an unused room or storage. If it decided to nest inside of this unit then there could be a lot of damage. You really need a qualified technician to service and lubricate this unit.

Drivers side has no heat only have it on passenger side in an 02 trailblazer, had actuator replaced

May be a rodent nest in the hvac system blocking that side, look under the hood into the air intake, this will be on the passenger side under the cowl cover just below the windshield, if you see lots of debris you may have a mouse or rat problem.

Put new starter on and battery lights won't come on nor will the car turn over. some rats build a nest in the engine compartment, so i do know how to get the car to start. help me please.

Hi,
Have you put a new battery in the car? If so and it still won't start, try retracing the wires under the hood to be sure the rats haven't chewed through any of them!
