Its NOT the video card, because this is happening to me, and I thought it was the video card, so i went and purchased a new video card that cost 450 dollars and the monitor still does the same thing, even after rebooting the system and even re-installing the operating system Fresh and from scratch.
Its the monitor, something is wrong with it and i dont know what.

Right click your desktop (when you can see it) and go to properties. Click the screen saver tab, CLick power button change the setting next to turn off monitor to Never. It sounds like the monitor is going into a sleep mode and not coming back out of it. Some monitors have this issue.

Hello when I turn on my monitor and computer this morning I have a black screen on my envision monitor and the green light keeps blinking do you know how to fix this

Unplug everything from the tower. Including power cord.
Press the power button for 5 secs.
Proceed to connect, power line, mouse, keyboard and monitor
That should reset the power or hibernation mode that you might have issues.
If everything looks normal, proceed to connect your remaining devices.
You must be aware that having a BIOS settings to boot from USB, DVD or USB-FLOPPY might prevent to boot into windows.

You have PC problem nto monitor problem since you can see the mouse.
Try booting in safe mode (hit F8) while booting up then go to system restore and set it back to the date you remember before the problem started.
Did you installed any new software or updates before this problem started?

Colored vertical lines on monitor

Have you unplugged the power cord to the LCD? Let it sit for a minute, then try it. ALWAYS buy a UPS and plug any computer devices into it. Doesn't have to be big, a $50 unit will protect it from dangerous voltage surges.

Monitor not starting up -

I think the Power Settings in your Computer needs to be changed. As whenever your computer been IDLE, it goes in a Power Saving Mode.

Adjust your Power Settings from the Control Panel "Power Options" and set them to "Balanced Power Settings" or as per your requirement. There are lot of options their to mention.

Hope your problem will be solved.

Monitor stuck on black, menu buttons not responding

It's sort of a solution, but I work in a computer shop and got this screen in yesterday. I looked at it closely and it's actually the backlight that died. I pulled it apart and found that three of the 820uF/20V capacitors had swollen up. If you replace them then you should be fine, but I went for a different approach and took the inverter board from a laptop and put the in the screen and used an external power supply. It's a bit dark but it works fine now.

Monitor gone black

Hi there, You do have a Hardware Problem, a Electronic Parts. If the scree is fine for about a minite and then goes black again then you may have a cold solder on the board of the monitor or a defective parts on Horrizontal Section for your screen. You may need to repalce some electronic parts. TY
