Question about PC Desktops

I have Quickbooks Pro 2007 for my jewelry buisness. The customer list is getting too large and will not take any more new names. I want to keep these records on my desktop, in case a customer has a later dated issue. I need to start a new quickbooks file but need to transfer all of inventory, how do I do this?

Save the quickbook files in desktop.... that particular file. create shortcut the software to desktop. it can be easy to access.

Microsoft Outlook is an email application that can be used as a stand-alone program or with Microsoft Exchange Server.

Many companies and businesses choose Outlook as their preferred email client.
Features of the program include the ability to manage a calendar, contact list, task list and journal.

Outlook contains folders for components such as the Inbox and Calendar.
These items have a view assigned to them determining the colors, fonts, fields and many more settings that control how the items appear in each folder.

Create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help

New views can be created and assigned to folders to change the way the folders are viewed.
Click on "View" from the top menu, and select "Current View."


Select "Define Views," and click "New."
Type a name in the "Name of new view" field.


Select the view type that you would like from the "Type of view" box.
Select the option of where you want the view to be available under "Can be used on," and click "OK."


Select the options you wish to use in the "Customize View: view name" box, and click "OK."
Click "Apply View" to begin using the new view.

WORD 2007 TIP: HOW TO USE SHORTCUTS FOR SPELL-CHECK


Spell-check has been around for years; however, it just keeps getting better! Microsoft Office 2007 Spell-check is even more intuitive and easy-to-use. You'll find Spell-check by clicking on the Review Tab located on the Ribbon, and then select Spelling and Grammar from the Proofing Group. If you don't use Spell-check very often, you may have trouble remembering which Tab to click on (I know that I do).

As a trainer, I've learned that each individual works differently. That's why I like to present different methods of performing the same task, especially if it can save time and help a student work more efficiently.

I personally think it's much easier to simply press the F7 key to initiate Spell-check. That's because I favor keyboard shortcuts. Some students prefer to create customize toolbars with their favorite features. In Word 2007, you can't customize the Ribbon, however you can customize the Quick Access Toolbar:

1. Start MS Word 2007


2. Go to the Customize Quick Access Toolbar button
(It's located at the top left of the screen and it looks like a small arrow with a bar on top of it.)


3. Select Spelling & Grammar from the list.


4. You should see a Spelling & Grammar button appear on the Quick Access Toolbar.


5. The next time you want to use SpellCheck, just click on the new button you created.
Both of these shortcuts will save you time to help you work more efficiently!

Can't "Pay Employees" , I get error message & QB's shuts down


You have to uninstall and then reinstall QuickBooks. I had the same problem and this is how intuit told me to fix it and it worked.

We had a power outage and our computer hasn't been the same. Our business info is in QuickBooks Pro 2003 and when we go to open it it says "the computer does not find a "valid installation key code" and...


contact quickbooks directly, this is a quickbooks technical support issue and more than likely what has happened is someone else has regiteres quickbooks with the same key..

so you are either going to have prove to them you are the genuine owner of buy another

Here is what I found:

Try these steps:1. On the computer that is receiving the error, test your Internet connection outside of QuickBooks by starting your Web browser and opening www.intuit.com.* If you cannot view this site, there is an issue with your Internet connection that does not involve QuickBooks. Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for support.* If you can view this site, start QuickBooks.

2. From the QuickBooks Help menu, choose Internet Connection Setup.
3. Select Use my computer's Internet connection settings to establish a connection when this application accesses the Internet, and then click Next.
4. Click Advanced Connection Settings, and then click the Advanced tab.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings window and verify that Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0 are selected.
6. Click OK, and then click Done.
7. Verify the configuration of your Internet security and personal firewall software settings.

I have quickbooks pro 2006 and I purchasaed a new computer with Vista. Where can I get a patch to allow my 2006 XP version to run on vista


By the looks of it, no patch is necessary. The only thing it requires to run is administrator privileges. To do this you can do it one of two ways.

Rightclick the quickbooks pro icon.
Goto Properties
Select the tab labeled "Compatibility"
On the bottom of that tab put a check in box captioned "Run this program as an administrator"
Then press Apply and OK.

Now every time you startup this program it will be with administrator privileges.
