Question about HP Computers & Internet
I have an hp pavilion dv5. it was working about 15 minutes ago, but for some reason it will no longer turn on. i've tried playing with the battery and chargers, but nothing will work.
The 1st thing to try is to make sure that the outlet you are plugged into has power. Try plugging in a lamp or fan or something and ensure that it powers on.
2nd some power packs have a seperate power cord from the power pack that may come loose ensure that it is plugged in tight if you have this model of power pack
3rd is to check the power pack you are using. The easiest way to do this is with a volt meter if you have one. They output in DC so ensure that you have it set to DC on the dial. If you do not have a volt meter check if there are any lights on the power pack that should light up when it is plugged in. If there are no lights on the power pack then there is not much of a way to check the power pack without a volt meter.
The last thing it could be would be the charging or power circuit of the motherboard. This would only be able to be diagnosed by a certified repair technician. If the laptop is still under warranty you will want to contact HP to have this checked.
