Change your screen setting to full view or wide screen. You'le find these settings in your menu settings in VIDEO. Good Luck on your problem and I hope this has helped.

We are having trouble with the picture staying in one size...it flips from one size to another size. How do we pick what size we want and keep it there?

This may be your cable/satellite box. The resolution is changing depending on the show. You are likely watching SD and HD shows and its changing to fit. I would try watching all HD shows. See if that works. If not, you can force the TV to scale to one size but you would need to refer to your manual as I dont know which model TV you have.

Make the picture fill the screen

The TV will produce a picture that is set by the aspect ratio of the film. You can however expand to an unatural size to fill the whole screen.

The aspect ratio on the HD channels are full screen - which is correct. However all other channels have the incorrect aspect ratio. (reduced size) A solution please???

Many times HD channels will come in more clear, but with a smaller picture or widescreen view. There should be a button on your remote called 'wide' or 'zoom' and it will let you adjust the size on the fly. If you adjust the view while watching an HD channel, and you switch to a standard channel, you will have to change the ratio back. Full tv screen is not being diplayed horzontally.

First thing to check is the picture size. You can view many program formats in a variety of picture sizes
  1. Natural
  2. TheaterWide 1
  3. TheaterWide 2
  4. TheaterWide 3
  5. Full
  6. 4:3 HD
  7. Native
  8. Dot by Dot.
The format of the image will vary depending on the format of the signal you are currently watching from you cable or satellite provider. Select the picture size that displays the current program the way that looks best to you.

To select the picture size using the remote control:
  1. Press I on the remote control.
  2. While the Picture Size screen is open, you can do one of the following to select your desired picture size:
• Repeatedly press I.
• Press the corresponding Number button (0–6) while the Picture Size screen is open.
• Press B or b while the Picture Size screen is open.

To select the picture size using the menus:
  1. Select Picture Size in the Theater Settings menu.
  2. Press C or c to select the desired picture size setting.
  3. Highlight Done and press T.
Some of the picture sizes may not be available depending on the receiving signal format from your cable or satellite provider (those will be “grayed out” in the Picture Size screen).

Second thing to check is the Native Mode which restores the size of the picture by the 3-5% that is generally lost during the normal over scanning that occurs on traditional sets. It also avoids unnecessary scaling of 1920 x 1080 HD signals. I hope this helps and good luck!

Aspect ratio problems on Samsung LN-S2651D Flat Panel TV

The aspect ratio (zoom) button on the cable remote had been changed. On Brighthouse the # button toggles through the zoom settings. It's not a tv issue, it's a cable fix.

Check your cable remote. You might have it set to HD zoom. This happened to us when our little girl got a hold of the cable remote.

If you press the zoom- button on your remote it will give you options for the screen size. The "stretch" option might help.
