I think its called a convergance problem. or maybe color alignmen

The color at the top and bottom are out of wack. the colors are shadowing each other or like stacked, not on top of each other like they should be. i'm a locomotive electrician and work with a lot of solid state equipment. in the military 35 years ago i worked on closed circuit color tv and used to have a color and dot generator and still have an o scope but no signal generator to signal trace.i have digital meters, and an amp probe rated high enough for the flyback transformer, hell i dont know if they even still have a flyback with no crt. i'm certainly not trying to impress you i'm just trying to say i do have some test equip and used to be quite good at this so maybe you might be willing to try this with me. sears is supposed to come out on the 6 of jan but that means my kids wife and i cant enjoy our tv over the holidays. so i guess my question is do you think we can fix it together or should i just wait until the 6th as not to make it any worse. on the tech threads it sounds as though it costs between 2 and 5 hundred dollars if you have to have a pro do a full alignment. oh yea 1 other note, i dont know if its true but my 10 year old daughter said she was just watching and the color screwed up she didnt bump the tv or something like that. this is why i feel its auto focus or magic color or electronic alignment. also if your advice is to let a pro should i just get a new tv in your opinion. specs :2002 hitachi 43fdx20b 43" rear projection tv. thank you in advance if you're able to help me. may god bless you and yours.
