Well my guess would be your speakers are powered by an amplifier instead of your stereo meaning you need rcas from the back of your deck to the amplifier If that's not the case then maybe you didn't connect the wiring harness properly or you have something inside your stereo set to mute
Hope this helps, if so please feel free to rate?
(I have added a link for your manual also)?
Before operating the unit for the first time, or
after replacing the car battery or changing the
connections, you must reset the unit.
Press the reset button with a pointed object, such
as a ball-point pen.
After the reset is complete, the pre-stored images
are displayed. Press (image) on the card remote
commander to show the clock display and set the
clock and calendar.
* Pressing the reset button will erase the clock
calendar setting and some stored contents.
* The unit starts to perform initial setling for IO
seconds after you press the reset buttof). During
this, do not insert a disc or "Memory Stick,"
othetwise the unit may not be reset. Should this
occur, press the reset button again.
* The unit makes some noise during the initial
settings, this is not a malfunction.
What make/model of car? I'm pretty sure that it is because your car has a factory amp that is powered by the factory radio. You will probably need a signal inverter and wiring harness or to splice into the wire; powering the factory amp and sending the signal to your radio.
My suggestion would be to buy a wiring harness and a dash mounting kit. After that unscrew or pull out the console/dash part thats around your factory deck. Then unscrew the bolts/screws holding the factory one in place. Remove it. Plug the wiring harness into the factory wire plug. Pull harness wires through the mounting kit. Attach the corresponding colored wires from the harness to your new deck. Slide your deck into the mounting kit and secure it in place. Most decks have little prongs that you can pry up to **** up against the mounting kit so it wont slide out without pushing those down (makes it more secure and harder to steal). Place deck with mounting kit into area factory deck was. Put the screws/bolts back into place tightly. Place console/dash part back on. You will need the mounting kit (99% of new decks are smaller than the factory). Wiring harness is optional but recommended.
