There is nothing easy about this repair, I am a tech and allow 2-3 hours even now after doing many times.

Start with the sheild on the right, closest to the light engine. you will need to loosen the input jack board to get this sheild off.

2nd remove the middle shield, you will need to unplug the fan attached to it. Now you can remove the one over the power supply.

Hi, I have a Mitsubishi WD-52525, and have the Green Light of Death. I plan on replacing the capacitors, and have the Power Chassis out of the TV. However, I am having issues extracting the DM module...

The DM is the second board in the chassis from the right side looking in the rear. The first board is the FMT. The second is the DM, third is the Signal and the one which is sideway across the front is the Power board. The Chassis metal shields have to be removed to access the boards.

Mitsubishi WD 52525 lamp replaced, no picture, red light

You have to take the TV apart. Pull the electrical chassis out and look for bad electrolytic caps on the boards. The red LED probably means the 2 - 3300UF caps on the power supply board are bad. You can tell if they are bad by the fact that their tops are puffed up and they may or may not be leaking brown fluid. Compare them against the other caps on the boards and you will see how they have flat tops.

BUT before you take the TV apart you can check the error codes by pushing "menu" and "Device" at the same time and holding for about 10 seconds. The status light will blink two numbers. ex. one flash pause two flashes is 12 Error Code Probable Cause

12 No error detected
22 Recovery from momentary Reset
32 Lamp Cover open
33 Air Filter Cover open
34 Lamp abnormality
35 Chassis Fan failure
36 Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure
37 Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan failure
38 Excess Lamp Temperature
39 Excess DMD Temperature
41 Short Detected
44 DVI Cable (between Chassis and Engine) disconnected

You can buy replacement caps from Mouser electronics online. There are plenty of solutions detailing how to do this already posted.

Control board assembly (internal - not front panel)

Try reseting the remote.....hold down the power button...press 00, or 01....then release the power button......Or maybe the parental control is engaged...........On this model all the boards are interconnected in one shielded unit.....That a certified experienced tech wouldn't want to dis-assemble/reassemble in the home.

yes if the lines are on all inputs and also on the menu of the set itself then you may want to test your 5 volt power supply on plug j19 of the lite engine.this does require removing the back of set along w/the back shield, about 30 screws.good luck joe tv
