No Antivirus scanner can protect you from a virus .Go out get a new harddrive, copy your first drive to it or reinstall your op on it ,Then remove it from your computer ,when you think you have a virus remove your online ips from your computer then copy your backup to your virus or bad hard drive and put the hard drive back up again .Saving 49 bucks for the virus program and the 29 bucks a year you have to pay to keep it up to date .1st A computer can and will crash at anytime you should always have a backup .2nd Virus programs only keep you safe from an old virus it will not from a new one untill it is know and updated by the company making the anti-virus program . 3rd there are anti-virus programs online for free. 4th if some one does get your bank info online your bank will make it right.I have been online for so many years with no problem ,but I do have 4 hard drives with the same op on it .Windows runs fast when you keep it new ,reinstall windows every 6 months or year. You learn more when doing it and ask less questions.Keep a disk with all your fav programs that you downloaded withpasswords and codes .hope this helps you .
