Question about Frigidaire PLEF398AC Electric Kitchen Range
No matter how high we put the temp on our Model #PLEB30S8C Frigidaire Professional Series Electronic Wall Oven it will only get to 225 degrees. The Broiler and clock work fine...I've looked the model up and can't find anything. The oven is only a few years old - and I really don't want to purchase a new oven yet. I NEED my oven...it's not quite BBQ weather out right now and I'm really missing out on the baking season! I would like to try to fix it myself - rather than call a tech...and all the relatives want to come to my house this year. HELP!
You either need a temperature probe or a board if the element is heating. If you have an electric meter ohm out the temperature probe. it should be a long skinny piece of metal coming out of the top left or top right corner of the oven cavity. if you ohm it it should read about 1250 ohms.. on your meter that would be the horseshoe looking thing. if it ohms out correctly then it may be your board.

Hi friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that the oven will not hold temperature properly inside your Frigidaire range. I would perform a reset which can be done by unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker for roughly ten minutes. Please comment back if that did not help correct the issue. -Matt

Hi Chris Stewart - If the bake element and the top of the range works, but just not the heating element, then you possibly have a bad broiler element or connection. However, if you are experiencing other performance difficulties, then the control board may possibly be faulty and needs replacing. Consult a professional for an accurate diagnosis.

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.
