Question about HP PSC 500 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

Blurry copies My PSC 500 will print fine when printing something from the computer such a email copies or website info. When I just make a "copy" of something from the original it comes out blurry. Test page prints clear and I've done all the cleaning suggestions. Any ideas? Thank you.

Re: Blurry copies

Did you remember to recalibrate the scanner after cleaning? If not, that alone might resolve this for you... To be blunt, this type of problem can be difficult to diagnose; my next suggestion would be to install the newest version of the drivers for your operating system; be sure to reboot the system once the drivers are installed. This is the main link to the HP Support webpage for your printer: If updated drivers DON'T solve this problem, check these pages on the HP website for more specific information; I've used the TinyURL service ( to cut them down to a more reasonable size: Hopefully, you'll find specific details within those pages... good luck finding a solution to this...

Scanner and copier do not work

In your case, the scanner light is not lit during the scan or copy. If you print something from the pc, it would print just fine. Try to powercycle the printer, then try copying again. If it persist, scanner is defective but you may still use it to print from pc.

Blurry printing fro lexmark x4270

May be too much info blocking up print memory. Before printing off sites, make sure you clear print queue and slect printer friendly versions. Check to see if your printer has a work online or offline setting in preferences too.
