My lenovo s100 cant view my webcam..or it not dtected

If you're using Yahoo Messenger or Skype to access your webcam and it says No Camera Detected, the camera might be turned-off. Try the following:

1. Presss Fn+ESC (The Fn key is located at the left side of the space bar). that's the hotkey to turn your Webcam ON and OFF and try to check if your Webcam works.

2. Open Device Manager - press the Windows Key+R and type devmgmt.msc on the keyboard (the windows key looks like this ray_tosh_1.jpg ) and look for Imaging Devices

3. If you see your webcam there, try to right click on it and Uninstall and restart your computer and check if your webcam works now.

If that still doesn't work and the webcam light is not turning ON, that's already a sign that your webcam is failing and needs to be replaced. If you're still under warranty, you can Call Lenovo Support at 1-877-453-6686 to have it serviced.

Good luck.

Iam not having the audio device in my lap top unable to raise the volume or remove the mute itry to remove the mute in control panel clicking the option of sounds but didn't work out they said...

it seems that your windows did not installed properly. some files may be missing. so you should repair your window from the windows cd and then check out your volume control option. If still it would not work then check out the audio drivers.

My webcam has stopped working. the sound works but when i try to video call on yahoo messenger it says i have no webcam connected. i have it plugged in. i recently moved and i think my ex roomate probably...

Make sure you have a driver installed for it, is there a program that administers the camera? With the sound working but no video it sounds like a driver issue, reinstalling the driver should take care of your issue.

I have a compaq cq62 and cant get the webcam to work

Is your webcam being seen in device manager, if so you will need webcam software for it to work, you should have some pre-installed from manufacturer if not you can get free software for it.
If your webcam still does not work try unistalling it from device manager then reboot your laptop and it should re-install the drivers and hopefully it should work form there.
If you need any more help feel free to contact me.

I have sony vaio vgn-nw150j. my webcam stopped working. it always shows black screen.but when some bright light falls on it sometimes it show some works like it has gone in night mode. i updated...

I had the same problem with my VAIO E series motion eye webcam . I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers from device manager, but didnt do any good.Sometimes the device didnt even show up. So finally I uninstalled the driver and installed the win xp driver from the sony vaio support page even though I had Win 7. Now under Imaging devices in Device manager it shows 'Sony Visual Communication camera' but it works perfectly fine.

Dont uninstall the webcam companion just yet.Might be hard to get it back.

Try doing this and see if it works with webcam companion. or else you can try other free webcam softwares like ManyCam.
